PENGARUH KEGIATAN BERNYANYI DAN POLA KOMUNIKASI GURU TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN BAHASA ANAK USIA 5-6 TAHUN DI TK BUDI LUHUR SUGIO

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of singing activities and teacher communication patterns on the language development of children aged 5–6 years at TK Budi Luhur Sugio. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 25 children selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through structured observation using a Likert-scale instrument that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis included descriptive analysis, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression.

The results indicate that partially, teacher communication patterns have a significant effect on children's language development, while singing activities do not show a significant effect. However, simultaneously, singing activities and teacher communication patterns have a significant effect on children's language development. Teacher communication contributes to improving children's language abilities through interactive and responsive communication, while singing activities provide linguistic stimulation such as vocabulary enrichment, pronunciation practice, and increased confidence in communication, although not statistically significant.

These findings highlight that effective and interactive teacher communication plays a more dominant role, while singing activities can still be used as a supporting strategy in optimizing early childhood language development
